okay so i am still holding out hoping that summer arrives here in los angeles at some point this year. tonight my husband and i went to the grove and watched tourists bundling up. we had a 4 day “heat wave” about a week ago but now it’s back down in the low 70’s. i went to zara and got a few pairs of jeans that were on sale for ultra cheap. i’m just appreciating that although i do have to layer up, it is gorgeous outside. my husband came home with a gift for me today, that gift being the new iphone 4g and i have been playing around with photo apps all day. obviously.

on another note… i am thinking about letting go of my black jeffrey campbell charli clogs, black jessica simpson dany’s, jeffrey campbell tan miracle wedge and some other shoes. they are all size 7, if anyone is interested shoot me an e-mail otherwise they are going up on ebay. hope you are enjoying your week.

oh and i wanted to tell you how much i love these boots. i have been searching for months for the perfect comfortable black boot. i had a few i kept going back and forth on. well i finally decided on these jeffrey campbell ‘france’ boots. they are so comfy, the heel is a perfect height and they are made of the softest leather. i’m in heaven. it always makes me happy knowing i will wear the shit out of something, like my nations, all saints, frye campus boots and moccasins. all tried and true. aka staples.

warning: this is another image heavy post. today brian and i went to chinatown to get some matcha powder for our daily green tea lattes. there is a place there that we get it for cheap, so while we were down there we dressed up like tourists, drank boba’s and cruised down to olvera st. as i wanted to get some blankets for the park and a backpack. i have this habit of putting on everything i want to buy or do buy. so by the time we left i had my bb cap from chinatown, poncho and backpack on.

it was nice to get out of the house for the first time in a week. my energy level seems to be up a bit for now. hallelujah.

hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as i did.

when i opened the box for my new red shoes i got crazy dejavu. i had a few pair of clogs and clog boots in the early 90’s and seeing these took me right back. i don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing.

okay can i just tell you how much you all cracked me up so much with your comments on the last post. i seriously love you all. thank you! so today the husband picked me up and we walked the blvd to get something to eat. by the time i remembered to have him shoot some photos the only place where there was sun left was on shit corner. yes i have gone from garbage cans to shit sidewalks. this is seriously what hollywood looks like pretty much everywhere. it’s not a pretty place and i never know why tourists choose to come here and if you are thinking about it, don’t. i really wonder if people get disappointed. if anyone has ever come out here to go to mann’s chinese theatre and see the stars on the blvd. let me know your thoughts. it’s such a mystery to me.

so this is a top/dress i have had forever, its nice and lightweight for summer and i really love the print. the only thing i don’t like is the smocking. i walk around itching my boobs all day, come home and take it off first thing. it’s kind of like a bra that way. my skin is ultra sensitive about what i put on it. which is why i wear so much jersey and not a lot of make-up. are any of you sensitive to fabrics or certain garments…. make-up? do tell.

quickie outfit post today. thanks jessica for taking my pics. it’s getting depressing not having a camera, or the studio (which was torn down and hasn’t been put back up). it was the one thing that motivated me and now i have a bad quality iphone blog. i’m truly sorry guys and hope my camera lens will be fixed soon. i promise this is not the “new” look.

i am so in love with velvet, crushed or otherwise. this vest situation reminds me of the first dress i ever made in fashion school. i think it was ‘89. it was a deep red crushed velvet A line mini dress with princess seams, bell sleeves and a back zip. i lost it with a ton of other amazing pieces (azzedine alaia galore, my fave john fluevog clog boots, and a shit load of vintage collector pieces including my coat collection) when i lost a storage space due to being lame and not paying the bill. stupidest thing ever. i don’t usually believe in regrets but i have to say i don’t get happy thoughts when i think about that.
